i too have no words that will help you in anyway sam, but i hope that both you and keith will come to a decision some time soon that will leave you both very happy.

it took me 9 months to convince my dh to have another baby but our situation is totally different to urs as we are both still young!

I too have been trying to think of some inspirational words of wisdom, but unsprisingly have failed... Login or Register to view images

Wet patches scare me, so wouldn't suggest that to be honest...

I didn't want kids, then came round to the idea. Then I always wanted 2, and now I have days of oh yes I'll have another and others of OMG I'm never going near DH again incase I can get pg by talking to him.

I can understand the longing, Ella was a much longed for baby but I think I felt it more than DH. He's too laid back! I wish I knew what to say and in the absence of that, bug squashy hugs to you and a queen of spam badge to me for being crap.

hello - i have no real advice - except i had ds at 39 & a half with no probs with pg, birth or babs- but we're all different tho

why does keith say no? is it age, finance, hassle?

we're having no more - as 1 of each is fab & i do agree over 40 for babies is a wee bit old (plus dh is 45 - today)

but i do gaze longingly at newborn clothes & maternity clothes when shopping.............

Happy Birthday to Mr Chisi.

I don't think it is an age thing, the hassle, finance or anything like that or maybe it's all of them.  He has no real explainable answer other than "no".

i have no words of wisdom either

i'm the opposite to you-i definitely do not want any more children but dh refuses to have the snip!! lol. i mean honestly i think it's his turn to be the responsible one

my husband having studied anthropolgy will agree that it is humans primal instinct to reproduce but you'd be amazed at how many people choose to be childless nowadays-just food for thought

i hope you and keith can find some peace over this situation soon

aw sam, I've no pearls of wisdom either I'm afraid...just wanted to send you a big cyber hug.. and to let you know that if you want some knackered old sperm from a 60 year old man that sits naked with his laptop on his knee each night, I'll send you some down lol

But seriously, obviously there is no compromise in this situation, it is hugely unfortunate that you have a difference of opinion on such a massive decision, I can't imagine how you must be feeling - I sincerely hope that the feelings become less as you get older and you're not made too unhappy by it,

Big hugs, Greedy, xx
