Hello!

Competitions are becoming a big feature of the Madmums community and I am hoping to build on this to make sure that they are regular events. They have been fortnightly but in the future this may become 3 weeks or monthly but even so, I will do my best to keep them running!

A few members have said that they have been disappointed to have missed competitions, so I wanted to point out a few things to make sure as many people see them and have the chance to enter as possible:

1. Competitions will be announced in this forum. There will always be a link from the front page with a nice picture too! So when you log on to Madmums, look down the front page and see whats happening.
2. Have you seen the banners at the top of the page?  They are at the top of every page on Madmums and will include amongst other things, details of when comps are running or about to run.
3. Is your email address correct in your profile? If not, go and check now! You will get an email when competitions are running giving you a link to get straight to it! If you've not been getting these emails, go and check your profile by clicking "My Madmums" then "profile" from the menu bar above.
4. As a general rule, competitions will start on a Tuesday and end on a Thursday. I changed this as I struggled to deal with the announcements of winners when I got home from work!

The main hint on this really is to look at the homepage. As we run more competitions, and they are successful, the more companies will be interesting in sponsoring us and so the better the prizes - its a snowball effect! We've had some fantastic prizes so far, and as long as we all take part, this will continue.
