My dh is more of a problem than the teens!!!

He winds them up and then gets annoyed with them when they retaliate and don't know when to stop!!!  They are little angels when they are with me, they know how to behave. But dh is always teasing them and playfighting and they end up in trouble or getting hurt!!!

I end up being the ref and trying to stop dh from misbehaving, but he can't see that he is doing anything wrong!!!

He is the biggest kid!!!!

Awww, I can see where your coming from!  My dh is the same and wonders why my middle child can lie!  He winds them up, and has a straight face, how are they supposed to know!  Apparently it's fun, and they bite so easily is all he can say!  I haven't found a way to stop him yet, but I have 2 more young uns that are on their way up, so I have it all to live through again!  Short of keeping dh out the house while the kids are awake, I have no suggestions, soryy, but I do have a shoulder when you need it!

Thanks

He is doing it more and more, and I am worried that it will change their behaviour. They are great kids and I'm so lucky that they have not turned inot Kevins yet. But the way dh is going I am not so sure any more!

I really need to put a stop to this but don't know how.

It sounds like you have to have a serious word with dh!  I found that only stopped it short term though!  Although it's nice to have a break, I found it gets worse each time, you could always have a word with the kids to let them know daddy has fun and not to bite!  That way if he's anything like my dh, he will gradually cut it out or stop!

I had a word with my daughter who is only 11, and said it's daddy's form of entertainment, but if she does it back, it will be disrespectful.  Keep quiet and if possible walk away!  he now winds up ds1 as he hasn't learnt not to bite yet!

Your kids sound like they are responsible enough to be told, and if it slows down the amount dh does it, it's worth it, it may not work but it's worth a try!
