We have been having a nightmare with Ollie this last week.  His teeth are so sore.  We have been using Ashton and Parsons teething powders, Calgel and either calpol or medised depending on which one he will take and not spit out...

He has 9 teeth now and another 3 on the way but it seems to be getting harder not easier with each tooth.  It's stopping him eating during the day and waking him at night.  He is also so grumpy as he won't go for a nap during the day but clings to me like I am going to abandon him in his cot forever.  We do have a little more luck if Keith puts him down instead of me.

Some days he is wanting to breastfeed more instead of eat I guess it is less painful other days he doesn't want to breastfeed as that seems to hurt too.

Yesterday he wasn't teething and was a different child, happy and smiley and went for his naps with no fuss and then went to bed last night and only woke once in the night.  Today he has been grumpy unhappy and wouldn't eat or nap.

How is everyone else coping with the teething?  Is it affecting your baby a lot or does it not seem to bother them too much?  I know with the girls it didn't seem to bother them too much they had teeth popping out everywhere with very little fuss.

Travis hasn't had any teeth since January!  But I can see two white marks on his gums so I'm guessing it's teeth.  Some days are worse than others...Fortunately David helps me out at nights just now if he's up a lot, despite him being at work.

He takes Calpol fine and doesn't mind the powders, so I'm thankful.

I hope Ollie gets better soon for you , xxx

Ellen has been really grumpy waking all hours in the night and last week was off her food hardly eating anything.  Today i noticed her 6th tooth has just come through.  We gave her calpol and teething gel to try and hard but like ollie ellen has been suffering with her teeth.

She has been a nightmare again so far tonight so i think there are more coming.  Its so horrible seeing them like this.  I hope his nasty teeth come through soon hun and ols is back to his happy self again xxx

tom has 7 teeth.  i think he may have some more on the way.  when he cuts a tooth he gets all the classic symptoms like fever, diarrhoea, dribble rash etc-so not pleasant at all.

we use calgel to soothe his gums and calpol to lower his temperature.

Edward is a teething nightmare. He has 8 teeth with another 2 on the way. He'll refuse food, cling to me, cry loads, runny bum and nappy rash - the works.

I use calgel or bongella and I find baby nurofen is by far the best painkiller for teething pain. If he's really bad I try and give him medised at night - I saw 'try' because he hates the stuff and tried to spit it back out.

I hope ols settles for you soon!

Awww, I hope Olls settles down soon.

I think Asha has been quite good with her teeth. She has 8 now and all she seems to get is bright red cheeks. I have never given her anything and up until a few days ago thought she still only had 6 and was playing with her and noticed the next two. Beks was the same and I never gave her anything for teething.

I hope he is settled again and not getting up too many times in the night.

I would describe Ella as a teething beast from hell!!

All's been quiet on the teeth front for the last few days, but there are 3 looming iminently and 1 not far behind. She has 4 so far, but they're on the move, she is horrid.

She clings, she screams - and I mean SCREAMS, she won't eat but will drink loads, then won't drink or eat - its horrid. Night time isn't a barrel of laughs either, but thats nothing new...

Ols - be nice to your Mummy!!! I really hope the latest teeth break through soon so he's back to his mad bouncing self!

Louis is a teething nightmare atm

ive been up since 5.40am with him as previous to that he's had me up on and off since 12.50 so i gave up

he's been like this for a few days, he finally cut his 5th tooth yesterday but he still hasnt let up on the screaming, ear tugging flushed cheeks etc.. so im guessing another could be on the way

weve been using bongela and teething powders, tho i have had to lay off the medised for a couple of days, or i think i'd o.d him on it lol

Just as a thought... when it says on the medised bottle not to use for longer than 3 days, can you have a few days break and return using it, if it is still needed??

Aww Sam i'm in the same boat at the mo although they are still eating at the mo. We never really had any probs with the first few but the back ones are the ones causing them all the probs. They are 15 months now and only have 5 teeth so i think that they will all come through together. Well i'm hoping anyway. I have some medised so might try this next. Goodluck and i hope it improves xxxxx
