im almost in tears reading all ur messages. thank u to everyone!!! that has got to be one of the most scariest things i went through and i hope it will be all over soon. although he was still on morphine this morning when they did his dressing change they noticed a remarkable difference. on thursday he was still very swollen and developing more blisters on the new skin. but when we looked this morning his hand was completely healed. his foot is still scarred and he has 2 deep areas on his arm but other than that its healing great. they even think he'll have very little, if any, visible scars. he'll have to go back each morning to have his dressings changed but at least we r home. he's still not feeding very well but i force fed him enough to stop them putting the feeding tube back in, he really didnt like it! i just hope he sleeps better at home, they've been strapping his arm to his headboard at night to keep it up soi the swelling would go down but it meant he was unable to move so we've both been up most of the nights... looking forward to a good nights sleep in our own beds.
some people wanted to know what happened... well the true answer is im not sure. i began to run a bath and had only put hot water in at the time and went to get joshua's pj's out ready. i thought he was behind me but as i left the bathroom i heard a splash and scream, when i turn back he was stood in the water. this could have been so much worse..... ALWAYS PUT THE COLD WATER IN FIRST THEN MAKE IT WARM!!!!!!! i'll never make the same mistake again and im off out to but a stair gate tomorrow to put on the bathroom door...that way i'll always know he's not snuck back in!
thank u once again and keep us in ur thoughts as he continues to get better
