Did anyone see this story on the news yesterday. I wasnt able to wait in to see it as i had to take Jack to the hospital. It was about a new law either coming in or being discussed for it to be law that children up to the age of 11 years old have to be in a car seat when travelling in a car (obviously lol).

Yup, its a new law stating that any child under 4ft 9" (i think) or under the age of 11 (which ever they reach first) will need to sit in a booster seat.
Im not sure how this will work in our case, df's dd is 9 and she isn't the smallest girl, she won't fit in a booster seat!!!

I read about this months ago in the babies r us catalogue
Children aged 3 & over who havent yet reached 4ft5 (135cms) must by law sit in a car seat or booster seat to travel for their own safety. Also children under 3 must use an appropriate child restraint while travelling in front or rear of a car

i thought it was already the law. when we were choosing a seat for max most of them go upto 11 years old, anyway. i know the booster seat he has goes up to 11 years old. you don't see many school children in booster seats.
