Hi ladies, havent really posted recently...i been trying to sort myself out! Last friday i started having contractions at about 4pm and by 7 they were 3-4mins apart and hurting so i called delivery who advised i make my way in to get checked...so we did this, they monitored LO for a while then said they were going to examine me...i told them that i wasnt expecting anything to have happened as last time it took ages...they had a rummage and told me that although cervix was very prosterior it was 2-3cms and baby's head was REALLY low which was a suprise to them (and me!!)! They gave me some pethadine so i cud have a rest and they came bk 3 hours later to examine me again, they found this time that i was 3-4cms and they didnt want me to go home! They said if i cud get to 5 they would brake my waters but despite contractions for 24hours i got stuck at 3-4cms!! I told them i wanted to go home but they didnt want me to "just incase"...I told them that i got stuck at 3-4cms with megan and that it was extremely unlikely that i was gonna progress until they rupture my membrane and that at 36wks its probably not such a good idea...they finally agreed to let me go after i repeatedly told the consultant that I know what is happening with MY body and that he couldnt possibly know coz he's a bloke and he hadnt even read my previous delivery notes!!

So now we're just waiting, hoping that LO hangs on in there for at least another week so i can have a low risk birth!

aww finger crossed bubs stays in for at least another week or so hun.  How exciting i cant wait to see all the baby pictures xxx

Hope all goes well with the birth keep us informed and remember to relax and keep calm (easier said i know)

I didnt get my hospital bag ready till late luckily ellen didnt wanna arrive early.  Best u get packing hun cos baby sounds like its gonna be here sooner rather than later.

Aww wow I am soooo excited for you! You are very brave - I'd probably have told them to get on with it and whip that baby out!

Well done for putting your foot down with the consultant! They should listen to us women more! Its our bodies!
