If any of your LOs got a rash with the MMR jab, can you tell me how long it lasts?

Ellie started with a rash last night - it is on her belly and chest and her cheeks and forehead - I assume it is the measles rash, it does disappear under pressure so I'm not worried about it but I just wondered how long it might last as she's in nursery tomorrow and I'm not sure they'll take her with a rash even if it is just a reaction...

she won't be contagious will she?

Thanks

Hello!

I've just seen my sis and she said of her 3, 2 had a rash at about 10 days after the mmr and it lasted for 3 days with Noah, and 2 for Joe.

According to the leaflet I got from the HV, they won't be contagious. So there you go!

Ella says "digger" and I send hugs!

I think it was about 5 days before it went completely..it peaked on about day 3 and was quite red and blotchy...every few days her temp kept rocketing too...the worst day was 15 days after the jab...she slept loads and her temp was 39.5 at one point..

I think she's over it now but she has a stinking cold and cough again but I don't think it's related to the MMR..

Hope she's ok, x

Edward never got the rash but the fever/cold/generally not being himself lasted from day 8 to 3 weeks at least and to be honest I'm not sure he's 100% over it yet - but then he's teething so its difficult to tell.

Hope Ellis gets better soon!

my two lads have colds, but nothing drastric.  in fact, it was max who spiked a fever at the weekend whereas tom just had the snuffles. no rash or fever just him being a grizzle bum.

hope your los get well soon.
