Adam is still at the finger food stage but I bought a huge plastic spill sheet when Sophie was wee. I put it under the high-chair and it gives them a very wide spill range, lol.

Thanks everyone. Madz, I've got one of those mats too - I really must find it out!!
When I started to wean Ella, I had to cover myself with clothes - and I wore a shower cap! Everyone laughed when i told them - until they saw her eat!
I'll definately try some of your tips and see how she does. I'd not really thought about it much until she seemed so determined to have a go herself. So thanks all!
