Did anyone see 'This Morning' today?

There was someone one there who had been born with no genitals atall so was raised as a boy for the fist 10 months named Joel.  Then mum was told it would be best to raise 'it' as they said as a girl as it will be less confusing for 'it'.  Mumthen changed her name from Joel to Joella.

On TV though she looked like a boy.  Her face looked like a boys face she sounded like a boy and she was wearing a black suit black shirt and black tie.  She looked comfortable talking about 'Joel' and un-comfortable talking about 'Joella'

I think she wants to be a boy and be Joel and i think she should beable to choose herself now as she is 18.  Also she has no womb and will not develop breasts which to me says boy anyway.

What do you all think??

Love Trudi.  xx

Awww poor soul. I never saw this but it sounds as though "his" life would be better as a boy as they seem to be the more dominant gene.

I'm surprised that they have left the decision this long!  If there is no womb and there are no boobs, I'm sorry but I would have made that decision for the child a long time ago!

one of my mums cousins is a hermafrodite(sp) which is when they are born with both sets of genitals! he was raised as a boy and then at 28 it was decided that afetr developing breasts in puberty that he was actually a boy so he had an operation to remove the male bits and make him a her!

its very sad! that they leave it so late especially with the technology in medicine today!

this is very sad.  it should be the individual's right to choose which sex they rather be in this unusual circumstance.  having not see the programme i can't add more than that.
