Hello...just voted again...last voted 08/07/06...was 9 weeks pregnant with baby number 2  - Jelly Bean....well it's been that long jelly bean is now called Ruben Isaac and will be 1 on the 11th Feb 08 & is walking ! I had a emergancy C section with 1st child Laila Grace but had natural birth with epidural with Ruben...have no plans to do it again but never say never ! If I did I'd go for natural again...I went to the VBAC classes ran by the hosptial when I was pregnant with Ruben and it really helped !

Sarah, Laila Grace 3 1/2 yrs & Ruben Isaac 11 months 1 week

I voted - assisted. My son was in the posterior position and was quite big for me 8lb 8 but I'm only 5 foot 1 so it was tough. Everything was just gas and air until my back was in agony. They gave me diamorphine but I never want to have that stuff again. I've got big blank spaces in my memory because of it. In the end I had a forceps delivery but still ended up with a 3rd degree tear. Not nice. If I say I had 40 stitches I think you'll get the drift. They gave me the option of a c-section this time round but I really don't want to have to go down that road. It's a catch 22 situation though cause how do you know what's going to happen? Do you risk going for natural and the same happening again or have a c-section when you might not have needed it? It's driving me crazy.
