DH is currently an ambulance technician (one step below a paramedic) and is doing his paramedic pre-entry exam today. There are 3 parts - multiple choice, essay Qs and practical. He did the test in November last year and passed it all except the multiple choice - pass rate was 85% and he got 83%. He doesn't have to do the essay Qs today as he passed them last time.
He's been revising lately but every time he does a practice test, he gets less than 85%. He has got it into his mind that he is going to fail. I really hope he passes because he really deserves to.
Everyone he works with says he will make a great paramedic and he is brilliant at his job. He's just not very academic and some of the Qs are really ambiguous. It's disheartening that the people who aren't fantastic at their jobs, but can memorise the text book got through last time and he didn't!
I'm so nervous for him. Please keep your fingers crossed for him
