We are on day 12 after Lily having her MMR and on days 6&7 she developed a slight rash which disappeared, but today it has come back with avengence!!!

Its all over her body, her neck and her face is really bad too

Her childminder phoned me earlier to say it had got worse since I dropped her off this morning - so I thought I should check with the docs

They wanted to check her over - so I took her in.  The doctor wasn't overly concerned about it and said it definitely is a reaction and it will die down in a couple of days.

Poor wee soul - its looks awful! Its not hurting her though and the doc says the heat may be making it worse!!

We are off to Portugal on Saturday and I just hope it doesn't get any worse while we are away!

The doctor didn't say to put anything on it that would help but just wondering if any of you guys knew of any creams or anything that might take the redness away??

Fee, my boys often get a heat rash when being out in the tropical climate, but I personally don't recommend putting anything on it.  If Lily isn't uncomfortable, then just try and keep her cool.  I do this with my children and usually after a day or so the rash has gone.

Rachel had exactly the the same thing but it was after the HIB booster jab (do you remember running round trying to find a clear glass Nicki.smee coz all ours were blue pmsl).

I would keep an eye on it hun (of course you will) coz my Rach ended up in hospital for 4 days on a drip.

TC hun.

Love Trudi.  xx

I have no idea.  Maybe just keep her in her nappy all day and get that evian spray stuff?  It's compressed air.  I hope it gets better.  xx

Try a cool air spray and let her run about in her vest and nappy. Poor pet, hope she's better soon.

Awwwww hun didnt want to worry you.

From what i can remember she had had an allergic reaction and was dehydrated and her blood count was abnormal so she was on a drip with stuff to re-hydrate her and and antibiotic to fight the the infection in her blood (similar stuff as what i had done for me a few months back when i was told i had viral meningitus (sp)).

Love Trudi.  xx

I used sudocream for fred when he had a heat rash, and it seemed to help.  I know calamine lotion helps to ease itching and cools them down as well, either that or sit her in the paddling pool in the shade as long as possible, that should keep them cool as well.  They are just ideas in hope it clears quickly for you!

i wouldnt put anything on it if its not bothering her cause that might aggrivate it more - but sudocrem is good for heat rash if it becomes sore or broken

I reallt hope Ryan doesnt react like this, its bad enough with his excema
