I had isla on sma gold when i switched from breast to bottle because i couldn't keep up with the little fatpants. She soon was put onto the greedy pig version that sma does....cos she was a proper little porker. She more or less slept through all night from about 3-4 weeks old. However she started waking through the night thinking her throat had been cut at about 3 nd half months. I started her on the baby rice then. The powers that be always keep changing things...4 months to 6 months, give it another 5 years and they'll change it back again. If you feel happy to do it, and he seems happy to munch away fill your boots, and try not to laugh at the look on his face the first time he has food.

Rachel went tru a growth spurt at around 10 weeks, I ended up feeding her every 3 hours which was about 5 bottles a day and she slept tru the night, she drank 8 ozs every bottle. I gave her first spoon of baby rice at around 19 & 1/2 weeks, I couldn't hold her out out any longer. The health service over here (IRELAND) recommends 16 weeks plus. My advice would be, hold off as long as you can it might be just a growth spurt. But !!every lo is different and rachel is my first lo and to be honest what I have learned the hard way is that the mother knows best. Do what u feel is right for ur lo pet.
