Okay, I know I've said this before, but I really mean it this time.  I am determined to lose weight and shed some inches (says she who is stuffing her face with Mars ice cream).

Is anyone dieting at the moment? I'm looking to follow an on-line diet.  Can anyone recommend one?

If you look in the affiliates I know weightwatchers does an online one!  I also know how good weightwatchers is, as my sister was doing that one and lost quite a bit as did my mom!  The thing is they didn't stick to it, but having said that my sisters weight is still going down as she doesn't eat after 7pm and she has started regular exercise!  She does walking for a certain amount of time each day!

I know as a mom and from what you say you are often out walking anyway, so not sure what else to suggest, but with my sister, she didn't used to do any exercise at all!  So she started at 3 mins per day, and increased it gradually she now does about 20 mins!  And as for the eating, my other sister highly recommends having plenty of fruit in the house as it's a healthier snack rather than chocolate.  Banana's are a sweet fruit that can replace the chocolate!  But the reason you shouldn't eat after 7pm is that is when the body is starting to slow down so any food you eat after this time is stored in your body as fat!

Thanks for that Vix-I'll take a peek later.

I'm actually sat here eating a bar of fruit n nut.  See no willpower.

I'm feeling abit down so you'll have to let me off.

I'm seriously considering starting to look after myself again once in the UK.

Why an on line diet plan babe?

I hate the word diet..no one ever sticks a diet out. I prefer to think of it as healthy eating or cutting down sounds far less hard work lol I find eating 3 meals a day is the very starter, with regular glasses of water. Then introduce gentle exercise, increased slowly. Then start taking things out of your diet, like if your eating a meal with mashed potato, dont add spread or have boiled instead. Swop chips for jackets or oven chips/wedges. Dont put butter on bread, then stop having bread with meals. Have natural yoghurt for desert with fruit instead of ice cream. Little things, but means you are not having to make huge sacrifices. The healthy you make your meals the more energy you will have to increase your exercise routine and eventually the pounds will be falling off. The longer it takes to shift the pounds the longer it stays off, and if you have built up a good food and exercise routine there will be no reason for slipping back anyway you will be so used to it.

If you really want a diet plan to stick to then then as Vix said madmums has the weight watchers one although counting points is not my ideal way of preparing a meal and Id get bored, the slimming world diet is great I think if you have time to plan your weekly menu, great for all the family to as you can all eat the same, and then there's R. Connerly diet, mum swears by it no idea if they have an on line programme and dont know how the diet works but i think the food is similar to weight watchers with the idea of sinns like slimming world!

Just a big up for weight watchers....

My sis went to weight watchers and she lost 4 and a half stone - and looks fantastic! I'm so proud of her! I've started to do it myself now and I love that you can eat ANYTHING at all - even mars ice creams and Chinese as its all done on a points value. I've only been doing it a few weeks, and have just been on hols where I ignored it all (!) but I lost half a stone in the 1st 3 weeks.

Its so easy to follow too, and if you have an event coming up (or like me you want a Chinese once in a while!) you can save points up, and earn more through exercise.

Good luck!

Thanks alot guys.

I wanted an on-line diet as a) it's accessible and b) I can't really join a club now.

I don't know why I used the word 'diet' either.  I don't normally as it drums up so much negative feeling.  Really, what I'm after is a plan which involves exercising and eating healthily.  I like the idea of Weight Watchers as it's all points and apparently if you exercise you lose points-yippee!!

I weighed myself this morning and was relieved to say no weight has been gained-yay!  My husband still fancies me-yay.  Some of my pre-preggy clothes fit...just-yay.

Do miss the support from the other thread, but I do understand that other fellow weight loss wannabes have other priorities now.  Sending hugs there.

How is everyone else doing with losing weight?

Well done Zoe! You must still be doing something right if clothes are fitting better and things! Im still trying to loose weight chick here with you all the way!

Im eating healthy and exercising regulary but weight isnt going very far. Clothes are fitting loads better though and I feel a lot happier in myself, more alert and things. The numbers on the scales have sat at a standstill though, this always happens and I give up. But this time I have a good routine Im eating meals at decent times and exercising at least 4 times a week. Need to start walking to town and to Joshua's school but its a huge hill back pmsl I have also enquired about sports and teams in the area, yet to find something but there is an atheletic track in Bangor I could take up running again if all else fails. But for now its just me and Charlie Brooks in my front room lol xxxx

I have always been rubbish at exersize but since getting pregnant I have done no exersize at all (Not my fault I have had difficulty just walking!) However as my hips seem to be easing I am hoping to start a regular gentle exersize program.

We are going to get a baby seat for the bike to stick Edward in so we can bike at the weekends and we are going to do more walking. I am also going to start doing some tummy cruncing exersizes when Edward naps.

I mowed the lawn on Tuesday (1st time ever) and I was sweating buckets so I'm sure that helped me shed some weight. I might do that weekly now as well.

As for diets - I am rubbish! I eat what I want when I want and cant be told to do otherwise. I am trying to cut out some of the more unhealthy meals and have been taking more care with my evening meals and eating more salad.

(Meant to add it is exersize I need to do more than anything to tone what I have as I dont actually weigh more than I did before I had Edward)
