Joshua still has his accidents babe, just the other day I drove 120 miles without a peep, pulled up at my mum's gate and he steps out of the car and pee's..excitement, built up I dont know what but he never onced asked for a wee before hand. And today he did one and didnt even tell me. I just saw his pants were wet and told him to put them in the washer and go change. For now Im trying not to make a deal of it and assume its the move but I know how you feel. He will settle down soon, he is doing so well. Try keep your chin up and dont let him see it gets you down. Mwah here for ya hugs and kisses xxx

No further advice to give apart from we have a naughty step ( I don' t think it matters if it is a step, corner or 4 bedroom house with pool and jacuzzi!)

You and your relationship to your children and the way you discipline sound just fine to me, and dare I say it normal. We all work on ideals but until you have been there done that with the child one can not pass judgement.

i know when I first had Cameron 5 years ago I tried to have the perfect family, I said I would never smack give sweets or use time out, our house would be the perfect educational loving fun environment. ( in fact I remeber I didn't believe children could be naughty until they were 5 plus) Now my house is that but with a degree of chaos...which i think its far better. We all fall out,...the children know that when we get cross it is for a reason and  they are still very much loved.

A wee rant for you!!!! Keep up the good work

Aww thank you Tinkerbelle and Mum2Joshua.

I have been feeling slightly poo the last couple of days, and been getting worked up about flying on my own, and the thought of being apart from DH for 2 months, other personal issues...

I know I have it easy compared to some, and I shouldn't moan. I hate moaning, but just needed to let off some steam.

There's so much going on-arghh.  Thanks for being there for me.

Zo x

Zoe I do hope you are getting your knickers in a twist about Max weeing, my daughter Fran is 14 next feb and she still wee's herself when distracted or in the car and still wets the bed on occasion.  There is nothing wrong with her physically or psychologically she just either forgets often and also has a week bladder.  She gets up in the night at least 3 times to go for a wee, she doesn't even drink that much I have no idea where it all comes from.

Fran also used to wee herself when she was told off not because she was scared of us or because we were overly harsh but because she used to be so embarassed and upset about being told off no matter how gently we told her off she would wet.  She is still very sensitive now when she has done something wrong Keith only has to look at her for her to burst into tears and he has never even raised his voice to her.

Kids are funny little things and all have their own quirks, he will grow out of it but not before you have a few more grey hairs.
