Yep I made it! lol Thankyou all for your well wishes! It was a funpacked 24 hours, being hooked to the monitor, contractions being regular then stopping! Two injections in the bum in case bubs decides to come out early! A drip thing in my wrist at the side, as a precaution in case I needed a c-section, and then so as not to encourage the baby to come out, and desperately needing a ciggy in the early hours, they took me to the front door in a wheelchair! I wouldn't have minded but the wheels were flat and the doc had said no more than 1! And no, not due to excessive weight either thank you! lol
But the best part is how do you get out of hospital when they can't seem to have more than one doctor at a time? I had the 2nd of the 2 injections at 11am yesterday and was told I'd be able to go home about 12! Not too bad, but the mw on the ward decided cos my baby was not very active kick wise at 9am, that she wanted to do another trace! Thats where the fun began, because she wanted to wait for half an hour or so after my injection, the doc went through to theatre, and wasn't seen again! It was one c-section after another, although there were none being wheled into the ward! pmsl They had a change over of staff at 9pm, and I was discharged by the doc at 9:25. I was on the phone at 9:29 sat in my car!
Having said that although the stress was high as there were 5 of us waiting to be sent out, it was a blast! We made the most of a bad day, and although I know one of the ladies was not allowed out last night I am hopeful the others were!
It was good to see the doctor's face when he heard that I was having pains 5 mins apart and I drove myself in! But at least by doing it, I had transport to get home again! And as for the dummy run, next time I get pains, I have to remember to put Fred's car seat in moms car, and put baby's one in mine! At least that way if I go in and have the baby I can bring him home too! pmsl
