had braxton hicks all day every day last week, thought the baby might come over the weekend, but since Friday, I've had no pains at all. The baby's due 2nd July. Do you think it'll come before then?  Pins felt like labour, came regular but not strong enough for me to be concerned.  What do you think?

Hi Clare. I was the same with my daughter. I had a show at 37 weeks and then quite regular, strong braxton hicks for 4 or 5 days - then nothing, then they started again.

Is this your first?

Walking is supposed to be really good for encouraging labour, so get your walking boots on! And I really hope that it all happens soon for you.

Take care, and let us know how you get on!

Oh keep us posted, I dont remember what pains I had and when sorry chick. I know Vickimom is going through very similar pains just now, we are all on tenterhooks as we have no idea if hers are the real thing or not.

I hope it is the start for you babe, hot baths and gentle walks. It'll soon start xxxx

i can highly recommend a gym ball to encourage baby to move further down the pelvis...also its relaxing and distracts you from pain...i had pains since 36weeks with liam and they got regular and strong but he was still 3 days late lol...not sayin this will happen to you but dont get ur hopes up. Keep as active as you can and eat regularly or else you will not labour properly...as i found out!! Good luck when it happens for you xxxxxx

I've been having them on and off for about 5 weeks now, they have been so bad at some stages that I've been in tears!  But then they stop and I keep feeling it's all for nothing!  However I am seeing the consultant on MOnday, and hope that I've had bubs by then, I think he's trying to come at the wrong angle!
