lol I must be tired I just started a thread for the exact same programme...  The jury is still out for me on this one, I wasn't sure, he certainly has some sort of gift whether psychic or not is another thing.  Not sure I really liked the shouting and swearing in front of the little girl even if it was meant to be what the little girl was saying.

I read his book last month, and thoroughly enjoyed it. It gives a real insight into how he found he had this gift, and all the wrong turns he took in his life before choosing this path.

I emailed Channel 5 to ask when the series would start, and bless them, they replied straight away!

Many of the things my 2 daughters have said in infancy (ie "How could she know that?!" kind of stuff), seem explained by Derek's phenomenon.

My only criticism of the series is that the voice-over is too repetitive (time-wasting), and slightly patronising! The book goes into much more depth of each case-study, but he covers so many years and events in the auto-biographical lead-up to baby mindreading, that you feel you want detail than he's described.

I look forward to more books and further programmes!

B.x

It's about this guy called Derek who tries to help distressed parents connect with their babies/toddlers by using telepathy to get answers from the child.

Check it out at monday, 9pm on Channel 5 and let us know what you think.

I'm cynical about the whole thing as alot of what he says is common sense anyway.  I also feel he is feeding information of from the parent (who was always present) rather than the child.  He could just be intuitive, but don't let my opinion sway you.  Either way it's quite interesting to watch and has some useful tips.

I'm going to be changing Max's bed around so it facing in the same direction as ours to see if that will stop him getting out in the middle of the night as Derek suggested on the programme.
