Hey

I think i might have PND

Im not sure if i have or if im just having a bad week...

I have been on the verge of tears since Saturday, and today i just can't stop them...

Im just feeling so low, no energy, all i wanna do is sit and stare at things to pass the time...

I got a few things going on at the mo... Taylor moving to live with Sie, Df's daughter is still causeing problems... Major arguments with Df, money problems... and the death of my nan hasn't helped.

Im startin to feel like a bad mother again, as i feel looking after Sophie is now a chore, not something i wanna do.

I really don't know what to do about all of this... i have spoken a bit with df about how im feeling, and he is gonna try his hardest to get me back to happy, smiling Nicki.. but atm, i dont think its possible.

Any tips on how to perk yourself up... and does this sound like pnd or just having a bad week???

Sounds like a lot of things are getting on top of you hun. You must still be grieving for your Nan, just had a baby and all the stuff with your ex is just too much for you.
What is your HV like ? Would you be able to chat with her about it or your GP ?
I don't want to scare you, but don't fob it off as a bad week etc if it is pnd, then getting help asap is very important.
Lastly, huge hugs to you, know exactly how you feel, xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx.

Firstly, Huge cyber hugs!

Secondly - you are NOT a bad mother! Having 2 children to deal with is hard work and you have got so much else going on.

Speak to your hv if she is aproachable or your gp. There is lots of help avaliable and of course we will always be here for you. It may be that with your hormones still not in check from a new baby and all you have on your plate that it isnt PND but it is worth speaking to people about this now so it doesnt get out of control.

I'm glad your df is being supportive as that is very important. Remember we're all here so shout if you need us!

Nicki, I'm so sorry to hear you're having a rough time at the mo. I just want to re-iterate what's been said in that in no way are you a bad mother. I can totally relate to what you are saying.

I really do think that you should talk to your HV or preferably, your GP. You don't need to deal with this on your own at all and if it is PND, there is plenty that can be done to help. You've got a hell of a lot on your plate at the moment, regardless of having to deal with a new baby.

Take care, and please do see your GP, and let us know how you get on. If it helps, print this thread off and take it in with you so he can see how you're feeling.

Big hugs,

Hazelxxxx

Hiya Nicki

I just wanted to say that I am feeling exactly the same as you at the moment and I don't know what has caused it or why I am feeling like this, apart from the usual things happening in life, money worries, 2 kids etc.

After what you said about the HV giving you a PND test I might contact mine but I don't have a certain HV as they are all leaving around here!

I don't want to go on any med as I know they make you feel really bad when you come off them, what has your HV said about them?

Hope you feel better soon and sending you a hug xx

Love Kelly xxx

We never got on to the subject of med's,... just basically how i was feeling and how she would help n stuff...

I wouldn't want to go on med's tbh.. there are other ways like alternative remadies.. i don't like takin pain killers.. so no way i would try uppers, but thats my personal choice, not dissin (chav word!!) any of you who do take them.

Good luck with sorting out a hv, i did find talking to mine helped a bit, as she sorta knew where i was comming from, talking to df at times is hard cause i cant express how im feeling in words.
