I have just had a visit from my health visitor (pre arranged).

She came to see how Jack was getting on wth speech, sleep etc etc.

Then for some reason we got on to me.  We had a chat on my feelings and a few things that have happened over the last few months.  My hv said she had had some concerns about me since Jack was born and she was really sorry she had not done things sooner for me.  She says i have pnd and need to start medication asap for at least a year.

I have felt crappy and tired for a while but done nothing about it because you dont go to bed at night thinking 'I have been depressed today' you think 'God i have had a s**t day'.  And im ment to feel tired all the time i have a 2 year old and a 4 year old lol.

Anyway thats that.

Love Trudi.  xx

Aww Trudi I'm sorry you are feeling low! I hope the medication helps you feel more 'yourself'.

I have just left a message for my hv to call me. I want to talk to her about the same thing. I have spoken to my gp but at current dont want anti d's as i hav been on them so much in the past. She has recommended talking it all through with my hv.

Anyway just wanted to let you know you are not alone honey! We'll all be here to help you through this time. It is difficult to recognise the signs of pnd in yourself, I only do because I have been there before. At least now its been picked up on you will get the help you need.

All my love! Mxxx

Trudi, I'm sorry to hear that you've been feeling low. You've done exactly the right thing in talking things through with your HV and in a lot of ways, thats the hardest part.

Is she making an appt for you to see your GP? Let us know how you get on.

Hugs,

Dizie xxxx
