Everything so far sounds great
I'd say take 3 of each item for lo & if ur in for a longer stay than 1st expected ur dp can always bring things as needed rather than u having a whole suitcase with u
only other thing i had in my bag was flip flops - for the shower, id hate to pick up an infection wen u think of the amount of bleeding women making there way in & out of there on a daily basis despite the hospitals best efforts to keep clean

I put in bout 6 nappies, pack of wipes, nappie bags, sudocrem, then 2 of- vests, sleepsuits, scratch mitts, hats, socks plus I've got a cardigan n snowsuit 4 actually bringin him out.
I'm not doin my own bag jus yet only Cal's as it was something else i could do 2 feel that bit closer 2 him comin.
I have felt i should put more in but if we need 2 stay in hospital 4 some reason then at least i got a start n dh can nip home n bring more in.

I dunno if there's anything else but i'm askin hospital bout a bottle. even tho i'm plannin on breast feedin i'm not sure what happens if he won't feed 2 start wiv.

The girls have it all covered. I would also pack a pair of socks for the baby for the heal prick test (in case you you are not home in the 5 days). If the baby's foot is warm the blood is easier to get.
I packed loads of baby grows and vests as lo spewed a lot for a few days after the birth.

Out of everything listed, my most important... apart from clothes, pads and the obvious would be the camera and change for the pay phone!! Also if its not been said already dont forget to pack a big fluffy towel for when you have a bath or shower before/after birth.
There will be one thing that iv put in my labour bag that iv not used before, and thats a small mirror.... I would like to actually see something for myself this time round. Some might not like the idea, but i would love to see the bubba coming out for myself. Just an idea and like i said, its prob not up to everyone's taste tho!! x-x-x

I put loads into my labour bag! Tens machine, cds, books, massage oils, energy drinks...the list is endless because I was convinced I would be ages! Howevr Ben had other ideas and only had chance tosip bout half a bottle of Lucozade before he made an appearence after only 3 1/2 excrutiating hours. One Godsend was a solid type beanbag, which I got last minute. it was the Perfect height to lean on on the bed during contractions!
As for baby's bag, I took one pack of nappies, wipes and sacks, about six of each baby gros and sleep suits, two little hats, mittens and my dh bought the going home outfit whilst we were in coz we didn't know what we were having. Did have to send out for more clothes coz Ben was quite sicky at first.
I found good lists for what to pack in the Boots Pregnancy and Birth magasine, from my local store.

FOOD!
Hospital food is crappy and never there when you want it, especially if LO appears in the middle of the night. Cereal bars, fruit, bottled water and, of course, chocolate.
Felt sick as a dog through labour, but ravenous once babies appeared. And you can justify the calories if you're breastfeeding!
Also a water spray was really useful for cooling down.

YAY..MY TURN
I can finally make my addition to what i brought that i actually needed in the hospital. For myself, i had house slippers to slip on and off when walking about since i dont like the sockies. they provide the gown for nursing so thats what i wore. i had a robe and pj to go home in. i didnt even need panties since they had their own panties there and pads for the bleeding. hygiene products i used definately. i had a nursing top since i wanted to breast feed and wore this home as well. i brought extra snacks for after birth since i ate more than what they provided. I had many hair peices to tie it back and stay out of the way, especially during the pushing phase was helpful.
OH..cant forget the body hug pillow..it was what i was used to at home and couldnt have gone without it at the hospital!!
For baby, i only brought her an outfit to come home in with a blanket since the hospital provided nappies and milk. I had used the mittens and socks that i brought from home as well. otherthan that..i was content with it all.
