I've been getting quite regular pains on and off all day.  Every time I get up or sit down they stop for a while, then start up again!  Now I am getting used to this, but I am getting tightenings, with alot of pressure like his head getting stuck!  Is there any way to ease this feeling, as I don't want to phone labour ward up, as I am in the day unit at the hospital tomorrow anyway for a trace and routine tests.  Just wondered if there was any way I could ease the pressure feeling as I can cope with the pains now!  Especially when the pain shoots round my back, I'll get the water bottle out in a short while!

How about a lovely long, warm bath?

I'm sure I heard somewhere that it'll slow things down a bit in the early stages of labour (esp. if you are!). Also, it'd be a good opportunity to shave your legs/pits, moisturise all over, wash/condition your hair, do a face-pack, pluck eyebrows etc. You'll feel more human after the birth.....and it'll help towards the "after" photos!

B.x

You just hang on in there lady, you are a few days off my date just yet pmsl! Off the computer chair for a start trying sitting in the arm chair or go throw to the parlour and get comfy with a hot water bottle on your back and one on your front. As a few have said maybe try a bath and definitely get some sleep babe. Thinking of you chick, hugz and kisses xxxx

That gives me 3 hours Greedy!  I have finally got me a ball to bounce on, and big sis gave me the oil for the bath so will go up at about 8pm!  There is alot of pressure today again, and I have done alot of walking!  To the hospital from the paying car park, into Argos, then round Tesco! lol  So with any luck it's been enough!  If not then hopefully the ball and bath might work!  Let's just hope that I can get out of the bath! pmsl
