I got this one off a Baby Whisperer programme:
When trying to put your young baby's arm in a sleeve, and you find he/she bends it at the elbow, and then locks it - making it impossible to straighten, don't fight it; it's a reflex so you can't apply force!
Simply stroke the crook of the elbow, firmly (but not too rough!) from mid-bicep downwards, and baby will release the tension, allowing the arm to unlock and be put in a sleeve.
Wish I'd known this one earlier!!
