Its been a hard, blurry few days.  Isla flatly refused to drink anything all day yesterday....complete nightmare...she kept shaking which wasn't nice...her temp spiked sky high.  So we phoned nhs direct, and they said take her up the hospital.  Took her up to a&e, and whisked straight through, her temp was 41.7 at that point, the doc wanted to examine her but isla wasn't having any of it.  The nurses took said doc to one side and told him in a nut shell 'she's in distress, her temp is sky high, you are not a paediatrician she's going to the childrens ward'...i swear i could have kissed this nurse.  So off we went to a loveley and chilly childrens ward, isla finally calmed down, the proper kiddy doc had a look at her and was concerned about dehydration..so she had a choice, drink a certain amount in the next hour or you are going on a drip.  Needless to say isla looked at doc as if to say...u can't make me!  Ten minutes before the deadline was up she finally decided to drink...phew.  They had pumped her full of god knows what to bring her temperature down, it came down to 38.2, which is a hell of a lot better than 41.7.  Just had to wait then for her to have a wee before i could take her home, would she go on the potty would she heck as like, she wanted to run around like a nutter.  Considering that she'd been at deaths door 2 hours previous to running around like a headless chicken...nothing like making a liar out of you!  Anyway we are home now, she's finally eaten something, half a packet of quavers...first thing shes had to eat since wednesday...still a long way to go but shes getting there

Arent kids great! Your so lucky they let you out, I remember hours before Im due to board a plane, Joshua running round in only underpants playing chase with a temperature still over 38 and they werent letting us anywhere till it dropped under 38. He'd been in 3 days with a high temperature, we were released at 7pm, due to let at midnight and I hadnt even started packing pmsl

Im glad she has perked up a bit for you babe, hopefully once her temperature comes down she'll feel more like eating and drinking which will make her start to feel better. Hope she is ok soon, sending you both huge snuggles xxxx
