hi people thanks for all the advice and support. Amy seemed in a happier mood today but she has been off her food abit. And a little hot sometimes. sicky also. She develpoed a rash all over her body so i took her to the doctors. They think she has a viral infection and told me to see how she goes over the next 48 hrs. Well that's all they said. Didn't even give me any advice about anything or any kind of medicine to help.

Glad Amy is alright, at least you know it's a virus so can give her calpol and not worry too much.  I remember when the girls were little if they were ill sometimes they wouldn't eat solids at all and just went back to small amounts of milk and slept loads.  Hope she is feeling better soon.

Yes a virus is contagious, normally spread by not washing hands after the toilet, sneezing and kissing and anything else that throws body fluids around.....
