I have just been in my step daughters email by accident, and i am glad i did, i have just found 17 porn messages (none of which she has read thank god) and one email stating that she is a match for this man from the answers she gave on a sexual questionnaire, when we asked her she swears she never filled out the questionnaire, and i think she is telling the truth as she knows we check, this means a friend or so called friend has put in her details, they have done this before to her, that is why she is on the computer as her friends now don't live on our estate.

I emailed this person telling him that she is only 14 years old and if he ever contacted her again i would pass his details onto the police. I have also done this before when a man kept ringing her telling you will do as i say as i am a police officer and my dp got on the phone and gave him a piece of his mind and he never rang back again and he got a warning from the police too, as he left his number.

I am sorry it is so long but i was in shock looking at the messages and want to warn other parents about the dangers of kids being silly with there mates information, this could have been a pervert contacting my step daughter for all i know.

I know how worrying it can be . My 14 year old would spend all day on msn if we let her. The computer she uses is in our main family room so we can see what she is up to, but usually she closes the windows up when she hears us coming or if I sit and watch her.

A couple of weeks ago after I saw an article on gmtv I thought I would try something. I managed to log into ebo under a false name and found out all my daughters contacts.Luckily I knew most of them, but the thing they were telling each other were shocking and to think anyone can access this info. DD doesn't know I managed to get into her account. I suppose it was an invasion of her privacy but I do worry about what she gets up to on the computer. I trust her and hope she is sensible enough not to do or say anything online that will harm her or her friends.

You did the right thing and I hope your step daughters so called friend doesn't set her up again. Unfortunately we can't see what other kids are up to online .

We have had incidents before, when she has made a web page and put pictures of herself on there with her age and where she lives and where she goes to school, luckly i had these deleted by the site organisers, but her friends started adding her picture to there sites and we do not allow any pictures of her on the internet, we stopped her from using the computer for over a month until they were all removed by the site organisers, i know this was a bit unfair on her but i had to make sure they were all gone, now the site says these files are deleted in big bold print.

My dd has a few web pages with her photos on. I know which photos she has used and to most people they are fairly innocent ( but of course you never know) At present I don't want to stop her and everyone is doing it and at least I know where she is. I know she hasn't put where she lives etc onto her sites.

I wasn't aware that I could get her sites closed down but that it def worth knowing incase we have any probs.

It does seem like her friends are causing her a lot of probs and I really hope you get it sorted.
