Hi there,
I am 5 weeks 1 day pregnant with my 5th child and am new to Madmums. I've also registered with Bounty, Baby Centre and Mother and Baby Magazine and have left messages on there. I am 32 years old and married, my children are aged 15, 13, 11 and 3.5. I live in Walton-on-Thames, Surrey and would love to meet some new friends in the Elmbridge Borough Council Area or who are having their babies at Ashford & St Peters Hopsital in Chertsey or maybe you are due around the same time as me, have a large family or have had multiple caesareans, as I've had 4 and will need a 5th one with this delivery. I am going to be sterilised at the birth as I'm concerned about having any more caesareans after this one.

Welcome and congratulations.
I'm Zoe, mum to Max aged 21 months and Tom aged 13 weeks.
We float around the world because of my hubby's job and are in The Gambia until the end of the month. Then we're off to Trinidad for 3 years in October.
Madmums is a great way to chat to other mums. I wouldn't be without my madmums!!!

Hi Tracey.
I'm Kirsty, my daughter was due (and born) on April 4th 2005 by C-section.
My son is 5 and he was born by C-section too. I'm not planning on
having any more partly because I'd be nervous after C-sections (they
found it be tricky to sew me up last time) - so I'm amazed you've had
four with no problems.
Hope you have a good pregnancy, and look forward to seeing you on here as you progress.

Hi, got my scan date through this morning - 26th September so I will be exactly 13 weeks. It seems ages away!! My 3.5 year old son is at home with sickness and diarrhoea, worried about catching it as I don't want anything to go wrong with my pregnancy as I'm still in the early days. Do you know whether it will cause me any problems or not??

You will more than likely be ok if you did catch it. Of course it would make you ill but as long as you drink plenty and don't get dehydrated your baby is well protected in it's amniotic sac.

Like Mumsam says, make sure you keep your fluids up and if your tummy gets really icky, see a pharmacist as there are things you can take whislt pregnant...
