Well  I can't put it off any longer and tomorrow is the day I take ds shopping for new school uniform for next term ( including shoes)

Scottish mms, if you see a ball of smoke rising up from Ayr you will know that I have exploded in a mad rage. It would be so much easier if I could send her into town to buy her own bits but as it is school uniform I dread what she would come home with. Ds was easy, one quick trip into Asda and I got everything and school sweatshirts from a local shop.

( she is refusing to have anything from Asda Tesco Matalan or Primark) ugh

Oh the horror i must have cause my parents but hehehehe never mind!

I never had a choice in the matter when I was growing up and if I told my mother where i wanted my school uniform from I can tell you this much I would be going to school without any uniform, lol.

The only thing is that if you buy the good quaility uniform the will wash better and last longer and in the long run save you money.

best of luck with the shopping.

Ahhhhh I hope you managed it with a thread of sanity left.  I have to say I hate shopping for school uniform with Hayley, Fran isn't so bad yet.  School shoes are even worse.  In the end there is normally some compromise from both sides and we get there but it's not fun.

We have my Step Daughter staying at the moment and she is here for another 2 weeks but DH's ex has asked us to get her school shoes for her. I hate shopping anyway but especially for the shoes as we ask DH's ex what she is allowed for school and she always says that Sian knows what she is allowed (she is 9) then we end up arguing because she chooses something with massive heels that really don't look appropriate at all but she is adamant that she is allowed them but if we get them then Dh's ex phones and complains about what we have got and if we don't get them Dh's ex complains because Sian is arguing about wearing them every morning arggggghhh!!!

That is how is happened last time we got shoes anyway, which was a couple of years ago now so we'll see what happens this time.
