OMG! Thats terrible! This is one of my soapbox issues ever since I went out with a friend who breastfed her son in a cafe and we were asked to leave - I hit the room!

The only circumstance in which I would have a problem with someone breastfeeding in public is if they stripped, stood on the table waving their boobs about and shouted "LOOK I'M BREASTFEEDING".

It makes me so cross that people can be so narrow minded to call it "disgusting" and for goodness sake, its a baby magazine! What more appropriate place for a picture of a woman feeding her child!

AGHGGHGHGH!

Will stop now before I go off on one even more.

I was lucky when I had Jess i had loads of support from the m/w on the ward which meant i felt so much more confident breast feeding when i came home.

LOL MumSam I was going to ask the same thing! Poor Dizie!

I have asked Lynie about being a bfing support mum and will be asking my hv about it to see if there is a similar scheme around here. My only problem is not driving but I'll see if I can find a way. I'd love to help mums who struggle to feed as I know how rewarding it can be when it works.

This is the same nation that has borne Playboy and Hustler magazine.  The same nation that had the first pregnant hollywood star naked on their Vanity Fair cover.  The same nation that invented lap dancing.  Need I go on?

At the end of the day 25% of the readership is a teeny weeny amount.  Maybe, the states that the magazine has a following are in the deep south where religion is the backbone of all american living.  There are certain religions that mean a strict puritanical lifestyle and attitude.

They can choose whether to read the magazine or not.  No-one is forcing them.  Lets hope they don't make a big deal out of it.
