You know Steve Irwin the crocodile hunter bloke?

He is dead.  He has been killed by a Stingray.  It stung him through his wetsuit close to his heart.

Im speechless.  My prayers go out to his wife and his young daughter and son.

OMG I'm shocked! I really feel for his wife and children.

Unfortunatly that is often the result when you put your life on the line daily!

Christ yeah!
I just read about it too. What a shame it is, he was a very entertaining man...if not very, very stupid at times.
The stunts he did and how close he came to danger was extremeley brave of him to even think of attempting them, but thats was has made him so famous and well respected!!!

I dont think anyone else will be able to even come close to things he has achieved in his life, and im sure he will deffinatly not be forgotten!
Best wishes and condolences to his young kids and his wife, im sure they are all very proud of their father and husband.

 I heard it this morning on the news.

My thoughts and prayers are with his family.

Apperently his wife was at the other side of Oz when it happened, So I think it was on the news and everything first.

I was shocked as well and I know that his work to help the world recognise the other side of the animals we all fear will not go forgotten. Although at times he took what would seem very silly risks.

Apparantly Stingrays very rarely kill it's only if they sting you on a major organ, which unfotunately was the case. The ray broke the skin and so I read stung him very near to the heart.  There have only ever been 3 deaths by rays in Australia.

My thoughts and prayers are with his wife and two children.
