I had to do a double take when I heard this on the news. The poor guy, he was amazing to watch, so enthusiastic about what he did.

My prayers go to Teri and the 2 kids,  He will be sorely missed, xxx. RIP Steve.

I still can't believe it, he was such an entertainer aswell as a great conservationist, he was such a great dad too.

I felt really sad hearing this news.  Steve Irwin has done alot for educating people about wildlife and conservation.  He was always so enthuiastic about his passion for the great outdoors, so full of life.

I kind of think although he was too young to die he has died doing something he loves very much.

What a legend.

I was really shocked to hear that Steve Irwin, best known as the crocodile hunter was killed by a stingray whilst filming a documentary in australia

Fair enough he did do a pretty risky job but it still came as a shock. He was only 44
