Well it made no difference, in fact he woke earlier and more often last night. I will persevere but hv suggested possibly trying a formula feed at night?

What do you think???

Hun u do what u want to do if u feel happy about giving him formula at bed time do that but u need to do what makes u happy.  You could give it ago and see if this settles him more during the night and then breast feed during the day.  I know alot of people who are breast feeding but give formula at bedtime.  Goodluck hun hope ed settles down soon xxx

Madz its worth a try, i found when i was still exclusively bf that giving ff for the last feed helped to get lo to sleep through til 5/6am. but i seem to be having similar probs to you at the moment Rianna has begun to wake 3 times a night again but i cant get her to take solids very well, im lucky if she take a teaspoon full. i thought i might try a few different flavours to encourage her to take more.

lets hope it settles again soon as im knackered!!!

I'm with Helen on this one! You have nothing to lose, as he's already not sleeping through!  The one thing that can be gained is a sleepful night!  If you are happy to do it, and from the sounds of it your dh is worse than mine(something I never thought was possible) then try it.  If it works, it could just be the milk supply is not there when you most need it.  If you are getting tired and run down and stressed, your milk supply will be affected!

HTH hun, if you need to chat pm me, I should be on tomorrow for most of the day unless dd wants to swipe my comp!

Just to let you know...

Last night I managaed to give Ed a formula feed, the night before he wouldnt take it at all and had me in tears but last night he took 5oz and only woke twice, whice was a miricle for me. I have stopped solids for the time being as he just doesnt seem interested and i'll try again in few days/weeks.

Thanks for the help, lets hope i've cracked it!

Glad to hear that he slept a bit better! You could try giving him a hungrier baby formular feed last thing at night. I did this with Ella and it worked for a few weeks - she was still waking, but not hungry. Good luck!!
