My dosage has now been reduced to 10mg from 20mg, but still on Cipramil.  The doctor crossed referenced other brands of anti-ds, but all had the same effects. I asked about coming off and she suggested to wait til at least 3 months and then we'll talk about it.  It's 6 months if you've been on more than one course.  As to how will I know when it's time to come off she replied, 'it's just a chance we'd have to take'.

She asked me about the pills in general to which I replied they're fine.  My moods are lighter and I don't want to cry every morning like before.

I'd taken along my herbal sleep and stress-alleviation tablets to ask her opinion.  She was slightly concerned that it contains Mother Wort, but as the anti-d dosage is now at the lowest of 10mg most side effects are minimal.  If I experience any side effects with combining the anti-ds with the herbal tablets then I'm to stop taking the herbal tablets.

All in all felt more positive leaving the surgery.  I'm to go back in a fortnight to talk to her again about how I'm progressing.

I think a set of bagpipes will do max the world of good.  They are educational, and it is always good for a child to learn a musical instrument.  Erm erm, they will help strengthen his lungs so he can beat off any coughs and colds erm erm erm you can buy him a little kilt and all the kit so he can go marching up and down the garden playing for you....
