I never got a chance to watch it! However having just read on here I am so glad I didn't. I smack my children but only when needed. I used to smack the older one when he was younger more than any of the others, as I didn't realise alot of what he was doing was learning and growing. Having seen all of mine do the same things, it has been a hard lesson to learn about myself as well as the kids. Fred and Winston are lucky with what I have learnt from the older ones. I have smacked Fred but only because no matter how many times I tell him it's dangerous, he insists on touching it anyway. We live in our kitchen and we have a rayburn. It is on continuously, but still he wouldn't be told. The fireguard is always in place, and one day I saw him stretch over and touch it, he kept his hand there for about 3 seconds then moved it, I told him it was ouch, and he has never touched it since. I've also found that I tell him things are ouch and he has remembered, so now I count to 3, if he's still doing what he's not supposed to when I say 3 he gets a smack. I very rarely get to 2 these days. So the lesson has been learnt. I haven't done the time out thing since I sat ds2 on a chair, and the idiot pulled his legs under his t-shirt as well as his arms, then promptly fell off the chair and banged his head on hard tiled flooring! He never sat like that again on a chair mind you! lol
