Hi im new on here

And i was wondering if anyone has had or heard of anything im going through

A few months ago i was told by the doctors that i have pcos and since then i havent bled

I havent been on any medication either

But last night for some reason i felt i had to do a pregnacy test my partner and i have been trying for over a year

But for the past week ive had these fluttering feelings in my belly and the only way i can describe them is that they feel the same when i was pregnant with my other children

And also my breasts are sore and if slightly squeezed there is a little bit of what i can only describe as colostrum

So last night i did a pregnancy test and the line appeared straight away  it was positive so i did a clear blue test this morning and again the lines appeared straight away positive

I am really confused i want to be happy but i cant understand i havent had periods

And im worried it might be a false positive

Im going straight to the doctors on monday but i cant stop thinking about it

Hope someone replys

Thanks

Dawn

Def sounds like ur pregnant hun and by what ur saying ur quite a way in too.  As u dont usually feel fluttering till ur about 16weeks hun.

If u have had two positives from different types of pregnancy test i would def think ur pregnant as its unlikely u have 2 false positives xxx

I would go and see ur gp on mon xxx

Goodluck

It's extremely rare to get a false positive and if you did it would normaly be a very very faint positive and take time to appear.  I would say you are pregnant but it's a good idea to go to the doctors to get it all confirmed.  Even if you are not having periods it does not mean that you haven't ovulated.  Congratulations and I hope you have a healthy 9 months.

The tests are supposed to be well over 99% bullet proof with the response oof yes or no indications. Sounds like you are pg, so go see the doc nd get it confirmed etc.  You have probably still been ovulating..without the periods after (obviously to get two positive tests).  They will have to gestimate your due date by having a scan done..as you havent had periods they cant use that as a rough guide.

I'm with the others on this one!  It's very rare as mumsam said to get false positive, and with the things you are describing it sounds like you could very well be.  Definitely get it checked by the doc.  Good luck!

Hi. A friend of mine has PCOS too and she had a very similar experience when she fell pregnant with her DD. She used to get 1 or at most 2 periods a year and had just started medication to help her chances of conceiving. She had been putting weight on and felt very bloated and had odd stomach cramps so went to the docs and they suggested doing a pg test. It came back positive, but she didn't think it could be right. She was sent for a scan, and she was 15 weeks!

She hadn't had a period, and had she not had the bloated feeling etc, wouldn't have found out then either.

Def worth a trip to the docs, it sounds like a BFP! Congratulations!

Do let us know how you get on.

A friend of mine suffers with PCOS, which happened well after her 2 kids were born, so therefore didn't use contraception - as she was happy with 2, & nature had made a 3rd unlikely, if not impossible. Anyway she was abroad on hols, rolled over for an even suntan, onto a lump....stressed for the next week until she could see her gp - thinking she had a huge tumour! Doc said, "Ah, that feels like a 20 week lump to me!" Yep, she's got 3 lovely kids now!

B.x
