Yummy mummy

Well my sister is a childrens sister in an intensive care unit dealing with children with menigitus and other serious illness's.  She has strongly advised me to have lo vaccinated with this new vaccine as apparently it is safer than not having it  and certainly better than having a child getting menigitus!

Like with any vaccination there are downsides but i think this new one is a very important one and I definately will be having lo done.

hope this helps

xxx

I don't know to much about the new jab's, but Sophie is having the new ones... tbh, i would rather she have the jab's then her getting meningitus..

My ex's nephew had meningitus a few years ago, and after witnesing it first hand and what it does to a child im glad the new jabs have come out.

Lily will definitely be getting the new jab

There will be a few side affects as there are with the other jags but I'd rather her be protected than contract meningitis

Winston was supposed to get it, but my surgery hasn't had the licence through yet, so he and Fred will be recalled when it's all sorted!  I'd rather mine have their immunisations than not

Ollie has had the new vaccination.  It did make him poorly for a couple of days with a temperature and cold like symptoms.  But again I would prefer him to have the injection than to contract meningitus, constant ear infections and pneumonia.  The side affects to the innoculation are far less than the actual diseases themselves.  He spiked a temp about 4hrs after having the injection and it had gone within 48hrs, we did have one bad night with him where he was awake and crying and really not very well.  Kept him dosed up on calpol and plenty of fluids and he was fine.

Max was struck down by meningitis 2 years ago and if I could've prevented it I would.  He was only a tiny 2 months old.   It's a truly awful disease that no-one should have to suffer.

I am going to get both boys vaccinated against it if possible.
