I now know what they look like as I have one sat in my fridge!  How do I cook it? Is it sweet or savoury?  What do I mix it with? And how tasty is it, ie bland or not?  Sorry for all the questions I just heard such raves about it when we were weaning our 18 month old lo's I was thinking of trying it out for Winston, and seeing if Fred will eat it.  I'm looking forward to pureeing my own stuff and getting both boys on the same types of food, to make feeding times easier.

Right then! To cook it:

Peal it (if you have sensitive skin wear rubber gloves as they can irritate your skin once pealed). Chop it in half lengthways and scoop the seeds out. Cut into chunks and boil, or you can roast it.

It has a sweet taste, and you can mix it with just about anything! Its nice on its own, or mixed in with something like potato.

My sis is addicted to them (to the point where she needs help) and eats them with meals as a potato substitute.

Ella loves it and will eat it with anything!

Good luck!
