...appreciated...

Ok I've been having the odd ache and pin in my hips and tops of my legs. It feels like joint pain but the past couple of days it has been constant pain and I am worried as I get bigger that it will get worse.

Anyone have any ideas whats wrong with me as I cant see Midwife till next Friday!

I could be wrong but it sounds like spd.  There is an article on here about it, written by Madz.

Sounds like Early SPD so mention it to your mw next visit and ask to see a physio to get a support belt and pain relief, dont rush anything coz you will make it worse! Read madz article and take her advice pm me if you need any support, there are quite a few mums on here that have had it or still have!

Thanks everyone, Im not used to having pain! Its really horrible..

Ive read Madz's article which was very helpful, so Im going to tell my midwives next week im hurting.

Not used to not being able to get things done quick, so will have to take my time and pace myself I think!

Thanks again...

Aww I'm sorry your in pain! I'm glad my article helped though. Speak to your mw and ask to see a physio.

You need to rest and take it easy - dont push yourself or you'll make it worse.

Sending hugs xxx

Thanks! I can manage with the pain during the day at the 'mo even though it is very uncomfortable, its just a lot worse at night and a bath doesnt even ease it.

I just keep telling myself it will all be worth it when the baby comes!

It will Amy - I promise. I forgot everything when I held Edward in my arms!

You can take paracetomol while pg and your doc may be able to prescribe something stronger. I used a V shaped cushion to help me get comfortable at night and if rolling over is a problem buy satin pj's!

Try and avoid the stairs where possible as that will trigger it more than just general moving.

I have SPD pain. I'm on crutches - I hope you don't get to that point but as soon as I mentioned the pain to GP she said don't wait for midwife. she referred me to physio within a week.

Hope you get seen quickly. Big hugs xxx

I am worried about it getting worse as I hate not being able to do things!

Im going to see the Gp tomorrow now instead of waiting for the Mw so will keep you all up to date!
