hiya everyone, sorry i havent been on much this week and i missed the quiz (sob sob)

ive been in hospital having my appendix removed!

went in on sunday morning, had my op midnight monday night, then got out last night (thursday)

im doped up the eyeballs on painkillers and feel sick and very sore but at least im alive!

they had to do an "open" procedure as opposed to keyhole surgery as they were short staffed in theatre!

had a really pants time in hospital and my mam is sending a letter of complaint coz i waited so long for my op. (she is a senior staff nurse at a diff hosp)

anyway, im reasonably ok now, ill try and get on again sometime tonight, can you all let me know what ive missed please?

notes of sympathy, hugs, kisses and such are greatly appreciated as im feeling very sorry for myself      

gonna take 6 weeks to recover fully

I know how you feel hun with having an open operation.  My scar is about 10 inches long beause i was 30 weeks pregnant with my first when i had to have mine out.  I had to stop working then and was terrified the scar would open up if i pushed when i was in labour.  Labour didnt come for 12 weeks after that and i didnt burst open PMSL.

aww thanks ladies, you're making me feel better, keep them coming.

flopsy, id say the pain was on par with childbirth, but it was a different kind of pain, but deffo like a contraction, came in waves for me. not nice at all.

well done jecko for winning the quiz! ill have to get cramming for this weeks lol
