Well, they haven't discounted Leukaemia just yet, but have said they are not too worried by his blood, but will keep monitoring it every so often! As for his swollen leg and splayed leg, the doctor is absolutely baffled! The consultant Winston was under was the wrong one, but the guy next door was the one he needed to see, so he went to ask for advice! He says in a baby this size, the leg should have either been like since birth, or he should have had a trauma, that was visible on the x-ray! Neither of which Winston had. Yes, Fred has landed on him a couple of times, but with the way the leg goes to the side, he had expected severe hip problems! He said he has never seen a baby this young (and he specialises in babies) with this kind of problem, without a very obvious cause, and especially with no pain either! Would I give him the pleasure of going back in 2 months (well it will be almost 3) so that he could x-ray him again, and keep a check on him, as he was curious as to what was wrong with him! On top of this I have been advised that if I should be worried, I was to phone up and get into his very next clinic, or if it is bothering me that much take him straight to Casualty, and he will do his utmost to come and see us! He is also going to chase up the paediatrician to see what is being done about his blood, as he has no idea about platelets, especially so my mind can be put at ease! So I am really no wiser than I was yesterday before going, and my little man is a medical mystery! lol So at least we know he's from my side! Thank you all for your support.

I know it sounds funny , but I'm actually now not worried! I find it hilarious that I can have 2 children that have the medical profession stumped, as did I when I had ds1! But he doesn't seem to be suffering so that's the main thing!

Glad it went fairly well Vix. I guess him not being in pain is the main thing, if he was in pain then it wouldn't be very nice. Hopefully it will just be one of those things that will disapear and no one will ever really know what it was but it doesn't matter. Give Winston a squidge from us.
