I'm new to this!  My little Winston has been screaming his head off and mom has told me he's teething.  She used some anbesol, and I have that as well as dentinox, but how do you tell in a baby?  His gums do not seem swollen or red, however trying to pry his hands out of his mouth takes an awful lot of muscle.  He's getting plenty to eat, but not too much, he's having wet and dirty nappies, and he doesn't seem overly hungry.  The reason I ask, is I've never had a baby teeth this young.  All mine would chew their fists, but not to this extent.  He's actually moving his dummy so he can put his hands there.  How do you get them to chew a teether?  None of mine had teeth before they were about 9 months to the extent that Fred is about to get tooth no 11 + 12.  And advice would be lovely as this is most definitely a first, and I really hate to hear him scream.

Ds teethed early and he would only take his dummy at the time so we used to put baby bonjela on that and it worked a treat, he would quite happliy suck away for hours without any screaming.

Harrison seemed to have all the signs of teething from about 14weeks old, but didn't actually cut a tiith until he was 5.5months old.

I just used to give him bongela and let him chew his fist.
