Last week Harry had a nasty cold. It has left him with a bad cough, only during the night. For the past 3 nights he has made himself sick and it is just thick clear catarrh. As there doesn't seem to be any infection and he isn't ill during the day I don't fancy trying to get him to the drs today as they are going to be really busy. I have tried propping him up higher in his cot but he manages to land up sleeping flat on his back during the night.

Does anyone have any advice as to anything else I can do ( we are running out of bedcovers etc and my drier is broken ).

Ollie had a similar thing not that long ago and he was also alright during the day and then would cough until he was sick at night.  It went in time but I placed a bowl of water in his room so the air didn't dry out, used a sudafed plug in to keep his nose clear and bought some Benylin Expectorant to break the phlegm up.  Not sure if any of these things worked or if it just worked it course in the end.
