Only me...
Right we all know that I have about as much patience as erm..well a dead fish really lol. Im now 3 weeks post-op so should be getting my dates through for chemo any day..however its doing my tree in lying in wait for mr postie man. With the possibility of us moving house (only a day to go til we find out) I want to know dates asap if that makes sense. So me being me I phoned the hozzie up and got put through to oncology. According to the bird I spoke to, my referral has only just arrived..(had to bite my tongue..what taken 3 weeks to go from the 1st floor to the ground floor lol)..anyway, the doctor who will be dealing with me isnt in til next wednesday which is when he will 'look' at my referral. He will then send me an appointment letter out in a few weeks time, which then means I will have an appointment a few weeks after that for a consultation to discuss treatment options and what i think would be best for me...durrr pump me full of icky stuff and lets get this sorted..not hard is it lol. So after the consultation, and a few more tests I will then be able to start chemo..so for all those making notes and adding up..cos i did and started swearing..roughly 8 weeks time give or take a few days! So considering that it was all go and no hanging about when they made my diagnosis its annoying that its back to snails pace. So I de-christmassed the house..and then promptly filled a fair few bin bags with rubbish that i want chucked out. I am cheesed off for having to wait, but there is nowt I can do. Ive done the easy bit, just want to make a start on the hard bit..sooner started the sooner its finished. So ta for the rant.

Aww hun, I cant believe it's taking so long. Hopefully your treatment will start soon and you'll be back on your feet in no time. Big hugs and that consultant when you see him for making you wait so long xxx

Awww Steph, what a bummer! On the bright side it p**d you off enough to sort the rubbish out! I just wish I could put that much rubbish at the top gate, as I am in desperate need of sorting this house out, it mighthelp me if I could get the ironing done first! But I really hate getting started on it, as it always feels like I have so much more to do than I have! (OK so 7 crates is alot but it's been worse!)

You never know he might read your notes and get you in sooner than that, can't you ask to speak to him over the phone, as some dr's/consultants are happy to try to help in this way.
