Thank you all for the warm welcome to MadMums. It feels wonderful to join such a caring and supportive family. I look forward to getting to know everyone and becoming a part of the site.

In my intro, I didn't include my name. I'm Raena, I'm 21 years old, excited and absolutely terrified. * waves * a pleasure to meet you all.

I had my appointment with the doctor today and he said that given the average length of my cycle and the fact that I've been counting and planning, I probably caught this pregnancy very early. Like I said, the day I called the office, my hormone levels in the blood test came out to be 21.45 mIU/mL, which corresponded on the chart to less than a week. That was on the 15th.

He told me today that he would call over another blood test to be done today and on Wednesday so that I would feel better about everything. Today, my hormone levels were 681.22 mUI/mL. I don't know exactly what that all means, but it corresponds to 3-4weeks on the chart, so at least they've gone up and they're about where I think they should be.

I work at our local hospital, so I cheated and looked at the results today just to see. I will speak with him via phone on Wednesday to find out what he says.

If anyone knows more about the Beta HCG levels, I would love some imput.

Congratulations on your pregnancy! Im glad the news was good, and hope you have a healthy pregnancy. I dont really know much about the hCG levels from a pregnancy point of view. Good luck for Wednesday, and start to get plenty of rest in these early weeks!

I got an update from the doctor today when I spoke with him on the phone. It seems that my hormone levels are increasing properly based on the blood work done today, but they have placed me between 2-3 weeks instead of the 4-5 that I figured when I looked at the chart. It is such a wide range of hormone level per 2 weeks span, I wasn't exactly sure how to read it.

I wish... but if I don't do it, who will? Certainly not my DF.
