Sorry you're in so much discomfort. I know the last few weeks always seem the longest. Have a word with your consultant or midwife, they may be able to help as Lina says. Hopefully with it being a pink baby it may be smaller than 8lb and you won't have too bad a labour. Upright and mobile makes for a better labour, although I don't know with spd if that would be reasonable thing to suggest. Good luck! We're all here for you, rant away!

Thanks for allowing me to rant everyone. It's a real comfort knowing you're all in my corner. I didn't consider the sweep thing but last week the babys head was only 1/5th down so I doubt it will be possible. Actually today the physio advised me to stay off the bed and try squatting or leaning forward to avoid the pressure on my back and groin area during labour.

Well skip the chocolates, I'm tuckin straight into a jar of nutella - with my finger -wouldn't have it any other way!

crys xxx

Aaaw, crys, I feel for you. I remember that last period of awful discomfort so well. Even if there hadn't been other circumstances making me not want a fourth child, the SPD I had third time would have put me off, so I admire you for going for it! Second and third times I laboured squatting, with the back of the bed up and leaning into it, it was so much better on the hips that way.

I've had hip problems on and off since having 3rd one, and just bought a memory foam mattress. I can't tell you how much more comfortable I am at night - I wish I'd known about them when I was pg, as it would have made such a difference. You can get toppers to go over your existing mattress if you don't want such a big expense. I know you haven't got long to go, but it might be worth a look. They are relatively cheap on ebay.

Here's hoping that your little one won't keep you waiting much longer.

Mmmmmmm, nutella!

I totally sympathise with you...Megan was 7lb8 and she was easiest birth between the two...but she was pulled out after a hour of pushing, she went from "nowhere near ready to come out" to "tada you have a baby girl" in 5 minutes! Liam i had to push for 4 hours with no help or pain relief, and it was agony...I was then told after that my dates were probably right judging by the state of the placenta which upset me as many will remember the agony i went through and no midwife wanted to induce me despite my hypermobility and artheritis and spd...Take it easy, hopefully your little bundle will put in an early appearence, if not 2 weeks really isnt that long...although it seems like 2 years when ur in that much pain!

Have you tried anything to try and help prepare your body for labour?

Huge hugs xxxxxx
