Today i bought a bruin bed guard (£19.99) from Toys r us

Im not putting Ryan in a bed until Easter hopefully but thought i'd take it out the box & make sure it fitted his bed ok etc

I lay everything out with the instructions then attempted to build the thing but the main part snapped wen i tried to open it (it was folded in the box), i never put any major pressure on it & was following the instructions so i took it back to the shop & got a refund

Now i dont know whether to buy the same make if they snap so easily or look elsewhere...

Has anyone else had this problem with a bruin bedguard? & any suggestions about wherelse i can look for a bed guard for a slatted cot bed?

I have never had a Bruin bedgaurd but we have the Tomy one and it certainly has no part on it that could snap.  I think it fits most beds as it's very adjustable to different sizes.  We have had no problems with it and Ollie loves the little pocket in it too, he keeps little treasures in there.

I have the same as Sam.  Tomy with a pocket.  I regularly find money and little animals (plastic) in there.

It was from Argos.  Same price ish I think.

Yup, I use the Tomy bedguard for Lewis too and we have never had any problems and yep, he loves it too, theres a pocket in there for his bedtime dummies, which he craftily hides, and its strong and sturdy and would totally recommend this bedguard.  Hth hunny xxxx

We had a wooden winnie the pooh one which was fab.  It was the one i wanted but it was more than i wanted to pay for one.  I then won second prize in a competiton off one of the catalouges (sp) i had which was a £50 voucher to spend with them so we got it with that.

Love Trudi.  xx

In my argos it says the tomy 1 is only suitable for divan beds, not slatted 1s - is this wrong?

I was gonna get the tomy 1 but didnt for that reason only, my friends little brother had the tomy 1 on his bed & i couldnt fault it - me & my 2 friends used 2 sit with our legs hanging over it 2 watch tv & it never had any problems
