does any1 else have problems with there swimming pools not having any family changing areas. my local pool is dirty has seperate changing rooms 4 men and women and only 1 changing station also the cubicles r tiny barley fit 1 person in never mind 3 kids 2. i can't take my kids swimming bcause of it as i can't get 3 kids under 5 ready myself oh and they leave the fire exit open so the pool area is always freezing not good 4 baby's and it let's bugs in 2 the pool so needless 2 say i have 2 travel 2 1 further away which is better and cleaner and more family friendly

I haven't yet ventured to our local swimming baths since we moved here.  I really wanted to swim when I was pregnant but the pool here isn't a proper swimming pool it's a fun pool and whilst great for kids not so great if you want to swim lengths.  I have no idea what the changing facilities are like.  I remember when the girls were little I used to freeze my bum off whilst getting them dry and dressed.  Think I better get a swimming costume that fits me and Ollie a pair of trunks and brave the pool soon.

my swimming baths is great, in the ladies changing area there are a few family rooms with a baby changing table, its clean and tidy too, not sure wot the mens is like but i do know u can put a deposit down (get it back when u leave) and hire a full room so all the family can change together and it has huge lockers too.

im thinking of taking lily up to the local hotel-it has a nice little pool and its only a short walk away. just not sure how much it'll cost-prob loads more than the local pool where i dont want to go as i'll see kids from school!

I bought Louis a baby chair for the baths and he was too smll for it never took harry until he was 4mnths but as you can take babys straight away now i took him in and he slept throught the whle thing bought him a tiny little baby wetsuit so he wouldnt get cold will defo be taking them again might start going at weekens when DP isnt in work thinking bout getting H swimming less

I took Ollie swimming today, went with a few friends that I used to work with all with babies.  Ollie loved it and has hardly been able to stay awake all afternoon.  The changing facilities aren't great if your on your own but as we were in a group it wasn't too bad as we all watched each others babies when it came to getting out of the pool and dried.  I will deffinatly be making it a regular weekly even for Ollie.
