First was 13 hours failed epidural, completely out of control lousy midwife.

Second was 26 hours gas and air, I was in control and much better tho I did wonder why she took so long. Different hospital, fabulous midwife. I did get a little upset when she and dh decided to discuss films for 15 mins and completely ignore me

23 hours exactly from 1st contraction to birth. They
reckon it was so
long because thomas was breech.
Hopefully i'll not be going through that again this time

10 weeks to go !!!!!!!!

..... 4 hours 51 minutes !
naturally, in the water with only gas and air.
fantastic experience

Only one - 25 hours ending up with forceps delivery and 3rd degree tear. Have the option of c-section this time but want to see how big the baby is before I decide. Does anyone know if I can get a scan late on in my pregnancy to check what weight the little one's gonna be?

i ahd a late scan at 36 weeks because my baby was breech, they estimated his weight to be around 8 and a half lb at 36 weeks and said he would get bigger coz he was really long when he was born at 40+3 he only weighed 8lb 6oz and was 50cm so i thinbk they cant always tell the true size of a baby at late scans, but i wouldnt think u would get one just to know the babys size

Ok thanks. It was just cause I had so many problems with my labour last time, and don't really want to have a c-section if it's gonna be a small baby. At the same time if it's gonna be big I don't want to take the risk of trying for a natural birth in case the same thing happens again.

Am I the only one who doesn't know how long my labours were?  I was in labour for well over 24 hours with both, and my second was worse and longer too as my wee lass was in a funny position and had to turn.
