John Hogan who threw his 6 year old son and jumped with his 2 year old daughter from a balcony in greece has been cleared of murder. What do you make of this case, he has been sent to a phychiatric hospital.

Im sorry but i just feel its wrong whether he did it on impulse or planned it he still killed his son and i know he will have the quilt for the rest of his life but i just feel its wrong, if my dh did that to any of my los i will kill him myself.

I understand what you are saying and how alot of people will react to this. Thing is he is obviously having mental problems.

I know how i felt when i had Pnd. I know i would never have hurt my girls they was the only things kept me going.

I'm not saying what he has done is ok not at all but its something no-one truely understands and something triggered it off.

Personally if it was me i would hang my dp too but there is always more to it. Hope this makes sense without upsetting anyone. xx

As horrendous as it was and must be for the family involved - its yet another case of not hearing all the facts behind what went on that fateful  day

The media are very good at generalising issues and only the family and the court will know all  the details

My heart goes out to the mother and sister of the wee boy who died and it is pretty clear that the father has serious mental issues which probably wouldn't have been helped by sending him back to mainstream prison

Even though he has been cleared he will have to spend a long time in psychiatric care (3 years minimum) and as you say will live with the guilt forever

It doesn't excuse what he has done by a long shot and even though he hasn't been charged with murder - at the end of the day his actions caused his son to die and nothing can change that.

I hope the media let his ex wife and daughter move on with their lives in privacy now - must have been horrendous to go over it all again.

I have just seen this on the news and i do not go back on what i said..

He obviously has problems but to say he hopes to be a father again to his daughter...

That just shows what state of mind he is in...

Anyone in their right mind would know they have kissed any chance they had good bye...
